YOUR ROLE

Join MACS as a Legal Advisor (Junior) in our Legal Services – Corporate team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career lawyer to contribute to meaningful work that supports Catholic schools across the Archdiocese of Melbourne. You’ll be part of a collaborative legal team, providing advice on a wide range of corporate and commercial legal matters, while developing your expertise under the guidance of experienced senior legal professionals.

Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Draft legal documents and prepare correspondence
  • Provide legal advice to school and office staff
  • Conduct legal research and stay informed on relevant legislation
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external clients
  • Support senior lawyers on legal matters and strategic projects

ABOUT YOU

You are a recently admitted or early-career lawyer who is eager to grow in a supportive, purpose-driven legal team. You bring:

  • Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • A high level of attention to detail and sound problem-solving ability
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • A collaborative and professional approach, with the ability to work under supervision
  • A commitment to child safety and the values of Integrity, Respect, and Excellence

Salary range for this position is $100,000.00  - $120,000.00 per annum exclusive of superannuation and commensurate with skills and experience.
