YOUR ROLE
The Manager, Talent and Capability sits within the Learning and Leadership Development Team and plays a key role in strengthening professional learning, talent development and capability building across MACS. The role focuses on designing, delivering and evaluating scalable programs, frameworks and initiatives aligned with MACS2030, using strong expertise in educational leadership, adult learning, talent management, stakeholder engagement and project management..
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of MACS-wide learning, leadership and capability initiatives, including the Learning and Development Framework.
- Lead, supervise and develop team members, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture.
- Partner with stakeholders across MACS to identify capability priorities, mandatory learning needs and system-wide development opportunities.
- Provide expertise in educational leadership, talent management and capability frameworks, ensuring learning programs align with Professional Standards and MACS strategic priorities.
- Manage relationships with external providers and vendors to deliver high-quality, cost-effective learning programs, leadership pathways and sponsored study initiatives.
- Monitor program effectiveness, compliance and budget performance, while driving continuous improvement and contributing to broader learning and development initiatives across MACS.
ABOUT YOU
- Demonstrated ability to design, interpret and deliver strategic learning and capability initiatives that support teachers, school leaders and system leaders.
- Significant experience in adult learning design, capability frameworks, learning pathways and evidence-informed approaches within an education environment.
- Proven leadership experience, including leading, coaching and developing staff while fostering a high-performing team culture.
- Outstanding communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and achieve successful outcomes.
- Strong project management, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within established timelines.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, supported by significant experience in educational leadership, adult education design and customer-focused learning and development programs.
